Travel
Getting to Türkiye 🛫
You’ll fly into Milas-Bodrum Airport and we recommend booking flights 2-5 months in advance to ensure availability and reasonable pricing. We like to use Google Flights, Skyscanner, or Aviasales for flight planning.
For Philippines: Airasia recently introduced fly-thru flights between Manila to Istanbul, then you would need to book an additional leg from Istanbul to Bodrum. If you prefer a comfier ride, Turkish Airlines is also available for more $$$.
For Russia: There may be cheap direct Aeroflot flights for ₽5,000–10,000 one-way per person, but only on specific days, and as of now none are available for April at all — maybe they will appear closer to the date. Alternatively, you could fly through Istanbul: there are many flights on Aviasales, but they are more expensive (₽15,000–30,000), but once again, there may be cheaper options closer to the date.
Remember to check your passports! The passport must be valid for 6 months after your planned trip end.
Visa ✍️
For Russian citizens, visa is not required — just make sure you have your international passport ready.
For Filipino-passport holders, please be reminded that visa is required for Türkiye. E-Visa is available for those who have a valid Schengen, USA, UK, or Ireland Visa. You may check your eligibility via the 🔗Turkish e-visa Application Website. Otherwise, you will need to apply for a physical paper visa via the Turkish Embassy, with details provided in this 🔗guide.
Please make sure to apply for a visa as early as possible. We will share with you the hotel confirmation details and wedding invitation letter to help you in your visa application.
Airport Pick-up and Drop-off 🛬
We will provide Milas-Bodrum airport pickup and drop-off for flights from Philippines and Russia that have similar arrival and departure times. Once you have your flight confirmed, please share the details to Sophie or Andrew so we may plan the charters accordingly.
Getting Around Bodrum 🚗
You can get around Bodrum using a mix of transportation options, including Uber for convenience and the dolmuş (minibuses) for cheap and frequent travel between towns and the city center. For more flexibility especially to explore the peninsula during your personal time, renting a car via Avis is another popular choice,

Between the airfare expenses, PTO, and three days of your time dedicated to us — we are already beyond grateful and your presence is what matters the most to both of us.

What will be the weather at this time of the year?
April is spring season, with average daily temperature ranging between 16°C and 21°C.
Will there be an open bar?
You bet! Let’s get this party started! Pace yourself though — unlimited alcohol lasts until 12 AM.
What if I have food restrictions?
Special diet menu options are available, so please specify your restrictions when you RSVP.
Will Sobi be there?
Unfortunately, our dog won't be able to make it because she has other plans.
What if I can’t make it?
You will be missed! If you can’t make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP “no,” so we can plan accordingly. Sophie will also be hosting a yacht afterparty in the Philippines around the last week of April, hope you can join us there ⛵
Will you share the hotel booking for visa processing?
Of course. After you RSVP, we will share the hotel booking details and invitation letter to assist in your visa processing.
Will the hotel ask for room incidentals or deposit fee?
No, the hotel will only ask for your card details upon check-in but with no pre-authorization hold. They will only charge for incidentals or anything that you consumed during your stay (ex. dining, minibar, or spa) upon checkout.
Will my Russian card work in the hotel?
Yes, the hotel has a separate terminal for Russian cards so payments are expected to go through without issues.
Can we hire a nanny to look after our kids if we join the afterparty?
Yes, Caresse is pleased to arrange a babysitting service upon request. The rate is €50 per hour per child, payable in cash directly to the babysitter.
What if I want to extend my stay?
You may reach out to Caresse’s Sales Manager directly at melike.cosar@caresse.com and mention that you will be extending your hotel stay booked under Sophie Aquino & Andrew Gordin’s wedding. They will be happy to offer you a discounted rate of 290 EUR per room per night (from originally 450+ EUR).
Wow! The website is so pretty! Who made it?
It’s pink — that makes it obvious! We spent all the money in the hotel so we can’t afford our own designer and wedding coordinator. Kidding aside, we did it (Sophie: Mostly me, I hope Andrew won’t see this).
